Steps to Renting a Property

  1. Search and shortlist suitable properties.
  2. Arrange for property viewing with the agent.
  3. Negotiate rental terms and conditions.
  4. Submit booking/earnest deposit to secure the unit.
  5. Sign Letter of Offer / Tenancy Agreement.
  6. Pay security deposit, utility deposit, and advance rental as required.
  7. Handover of keys and move-in.

Steps to Buying/Selling a Property

  1. Engage a registered real estate agent.
  2. View and select property (buyer) / List property for sale (seller).
  3. Negotiate price and terms.
  4. Sign Letter of Offer and pay earnest deposit.
  5. Appoint lawyer for Sale & Purchase Agreement (SPA).
  6. Sign SPA and pay balance deposit.
  7. Apply for loan (if needed) and complete legal documentation.
  8. Pay remaining balance and complete transfer of ownership.
  9. Handover of keys and possession.
